Delta WaterWise Team

The WaterWise Team is a public outreach group that promotes water conservation and enforces Lawn Sprinkling Regulations throughout Delta's neighbourhoods. The Team attends local community events to educate residents about water conservation and to promote Delta's conservation initiatives such as the Rain Barrel Program, Outdoor Water Saver Kit, and Voluntary Water Metering Program. The WaterWise Team also promotes the Delta Backyard Composter Program as a waste diversion initiative.

Throughout the summer, the WaterWise Team conducts regular neighbourhood patrols to enforce the annual Lawn Sprinkling Restrictions and Treated Drinking Water Use Regulations under the Metro Vancouver-wide Water Shortage Response Plan (BYLAW 5781, 2000). 2011 WaterWise Events

Come out to one of Delta's community events or gardening workshops this summer to visit the WaterWise booth and speak with our Team on how you can incorporate water conservation into your daily life. You can view samples of Delta's Rainbarrel, Backyard Composter, and Outdoor Water Saver Kits or attend one of our free sustainable gardening workshops to learn how to be a WaterWise gardener.
