Outdoor Water Saver Kit

Residential water use peaks and nearly doubles every year in the hot summer months. Outdoor watering accounts for 40% of total residential water usage; leaks and inefficient watering systems can put strain on our local reservoirs.

The Outdoor Water Saver Kit is a group of tools provided by the Corporation of Delta for $15.00*. This kit allows residents to prevent over-watering by using a variety of watering patterns for different tasks, accurately time outdoor watering, secure hose connections, and measure water applied to yard (including precipitation).

Each kit includes:

• 1 Aqua Gun
  • Heavy-duty metal construction
  • 8 pattern spray nozzle
  • Slip-resistant, ergonomic design
  • Trigger lock
  • Great for hand watering, washing cars, etc
• 1 Mechanical Water Timer
  • Automatic shut-off
  • "Egg timer" design measures watering time (chronometer), not water flow
  • Works with low-pressure drip and soaker hoses
  • Turns off and on easily like a faucet
  • Never over-water again
• 12 Hose Washers
• Prevents water loss at hose connections
• 2 Rain Gauges
• Monitors total amount of water that lawns and gardens receive
• Highly visible dial with easy-to-read markings
• Established lawns only need 2.5cm (1") of water per week
• Avoid over-watering; conserve water by monitoring the rain gauge

How to Purchase an Outdoor Water Saver Kit

The cost of a kit is $15.00* (including tax) and can be purchased through Delta using the following options:

*Must be a Delta resident to purchase the kit. Proof of residency is required.
