Water Conservation

Water is essential to our daily lives. We use it to cook, to clean, to nourish our bodies and to keep our lawns and gardens green and growing. However, in British Columbia, we use 30 percent more water than residents in other provinces. Each day in Delta, residents and businesses consume approximately 700 litres of water per person. That's the equivalent of about four oil drums of water each day. Efficient water use is particularly important during the dry summer months when as much as 50 percent of home water use is for lawn and garden watering.
