Heritage Commission Scholarship

In 2008, the Delta Heritage Advisory Commission established the Delta Heritage Commission Scholarship. This scholarship is to be awarded annually to a student residing in Delta who is graduating from high school. The purpose of this award is to encourage students to display an interest in local or regional heritage, as demonstrated through an original piece of work. This award would be applied to their post-secondary studies after high school graduation. The value of the scholarship is $750. This scholarship is valid for all post-secondary institutions, including colleges, universities, technical and trade school programs, art schools, or any other career oriented coursework or program.

The Delta Heritage Advisory Commission recognizes the importance of higher education in our mandate in promoting public education and awareness in the area of local and regional heritage, conservation and preservation.
