Styrofoam Packaging
Individuals and business can drop-off excess styrofoam packaging at the Mason Ville Plastic plant. Styrofoam should be clean of any glue, tape, paper or staples, broken up into small pieces and placed in closed plastic bags.
Styrofoam chips/peanuts are accepted by most UPS Stores and Packaging Depots for reuse as long as the chips are clean and have not been used for hazardous or medication packaging.
Styrofoam is very difficult to recycle. Try to avoid styrofoam all together by requesting alternative packaging for electronics. Many companies are now packing goods in molded corrugated cardboard which is fully and easily recyclable. |
