Recreation Infrastructure Improvements over the Last Decade

In the last 10 years, Delta has invested over $45 million into new and existing recreation infrastructure, including 4 synthetic turf fields, a new seniors' facility, arts centres and parks, fields and playground upgrades.

All of these improvements were made while adhering to Mayor and Council's commitment to "no borrowing"; no new debt has resulted from these investments in Delta's infrastructure.

View a listing of the major projects undertaken by the Parks, Recreation & Culture Department over the last 10 years along with a list of projects planned for 2011 that increase Delta's recreation infrastrucutre investment by a further $9.2 million.
