The Corporation of Delta is pleased to announce that we have been selected as a finalist for a 2008 Power Smart Excellence Award in the category of Workplace Conservation Leadership Award (Government).
The Power Smart Excellence Awards showcase the best energy efficiency and conservation practices of BC Hydro customers. The Power Smart Excellence Awards strive to inspire and enable other organizations to participate and implement their own programs that lead to a reduction in energy use. At The Corporation of Delta, we are incorporating sound energy management into our operations, not just as a one-time project, but as an integrated approach to continuous improvement in energy performance. Together, we are making energy efficiency and conservation a way of doing business at Delta.
Finalists were chosen after a judging panel reviewed more than 50 nominations representing companies and organizations from the commercial, construction, education, food processing, government, retail, manufacturing and resources sectors. The Corporation of Delta is honoured to have been recognized among B.C.'s energy efficiency leaders, as a finalist for a Power Smart Excellence Award.
The winners will be announced at the 2008 BC Hydro Power Smart Excellence Awards ceremony, taking place in Vancouver on May 15th, 2008.
