Delta's Wellness Committee Initiates a Christmas Food Train

The Corporation of Delta's Wellness Committee, in partnership with CUPE Local 454, has organized a Christmas Food Train - a train of cars filled with non-perishable food for donation to the local food bank.

Train tracks have been laid down in the foyer of Delta Municipal Hall around the Christmas tree and each department's cars are being hitched up to make a train. Departments are invited to decorate a box "train car" and fill with non-perishable food items. All donations will be sent to the local food bank in conjunction with the annual CUPE Local 454 Food Drive.

This year's holiday season will be tough for many families and we hope this food train will encourage both staff and residents to fill the train cars with non-perishable food items.
