Director of Engineering Appointment

Mayor Lois E. Jackson, Delta Council and the Chief Administrative Officer are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Steven Lan as the Director of Engineering effective immediately. Mr. Hugh Fraser, Deputy Director of Engineering, will be working with Mr. Lan providing significant support to the Director's position.

Mr. Lan started with Delta as a Deputy Director of Engineering in April 2009 and assumed the Director role on a temporary basis in October 2009.

Prior to Delta, Mr. Lan was the Assistant Director of Engineering for the City of New Westminster and the Manager of Water Resources and Environment for the Township of Langley. Mr. Lan has a Master of Engineering in Environmental Engineering, a Bachelor of Science in Bio-Resources Engineering and is both a Professional Engineer and Professional Biologist.
