The purpose of the North Delta Area Plan Committee is to advise Council on the review and update of the North Delta Area Plan.
Mandate
The North Delta Area Plan Committee will advise Council with regards to the review and update of the Area Plan that is consistent with the goals, objectives and policies of Schedule A of the OCP, and that will guide the long term growth and development of North Delta. Specific duties of the Committee include the following:
- To undertake and complete the Area Plan Review in accordance with the work plan adopted by Council.
- To assist staff by providing recommendations and guidance on objectives and policies to be included in the new Area Plan.
- To receive public input through hosting public information meetings, open houses, or other similar forums.
- To receive input from other stakeholder groups.
- To provide quarterly update reports to Council, and a final report with Recommendations at the completion of its mandate.
- To ensure activities of the Committee are transparent and open to the public.
The Committee will cease to exist after providing their final report to Council.

Meeting Schedule
Regular meetings to be held monthly, with special meetings at the call of the Chair. The Committee will host public information meetings or other events as required.

Membership
Membership on the North Delta Area Plan Committee shall comprise of nine (9) members appointed or as otherwise directed by Council, who shall serve without compensation as follows.
Voting Members:
- Two (2) members of Council (Chair and Vice-Chair)
- Seven (7) community members
