Film Locations
Delta boasts three separate and unique communities all within a twenty-five minute drive of Vancouver.
- Ladner Village offers the ambience and convenience of a small town, with a comfortable, friendly atmosphere. Having hosted many television and feature productions, the Ladner Business Association, farmers, fishermen and residents all enjoy film companies in their community and are pleased to be part of the thriving British Columbia film industry.
The farmland surrounding Ladner has many quiet roads, providing a stress free filming environment. The municipally owned North 40 lands, an abandoned military base adjacent to Boundary Bay Airport, are covered with dense vegetation and trees with an older style road system. It is suitable for stunts in a traffic free area. The working harbour with fishing boats and waterside restaurants is a favorite with film productions.
- Tsawwassen, adjoining the United States border with Point Roberts has the highest sunshine rate in the Vancouver area. It offers a seaside atmosphere with upscale housing, unique restaurant locations and the beautiful oceanside Centennial Park in Boundary Bay.
- North Delta, easily accessed via River Road or the Alex Fraser Bridge, is being discovered by the film industry. The Side Track Pub is a favourite location.
